Mellat Park: Exploring the Largest Park in Mashhad

 History of Mellat Park

In 1964, two British engineers designed this beautiful park in the style of English gardens, and in later years, Iranian engineers completed the project. Due to urban development, Mellat Park is now considered part of Mashhad and its air quality and beauty have significantly improved. The park covers an area of 720,000 square meters (72 hectares) and features over 35,000 trees, some of which are several decades old.

Wildlife in Mellat Park

Mellat Park in Mashhad has a separate area for the care and keeping of certain animals and birds. Given the limited space and small number of animals, it is referred to as the wildlife section of Mellat Park. Animals and birds such as monkeys, peacocks, and budgerigars can be found there.
